The historical Cossack choirs

In 1921 Serge Jaroff in Galipolli (Turkey) founded his Don Kosaken Chor. In 1923 the "Original Don Kosaken Chor Serge Jaroff" made its first professional appearance in Vienna. For 55 years the choir travelled the world several times, fascinating it with its magical music.

In 1924, almost parallel to the Don Cossacks, the "Ural Kosaken Chor" conducted by Andrei Scholuch was founded in Paris, performing throughout Europe.

In Berlin 1938 Boris Ledkovsky called the "Schwarzmeer Kosaken Chor" into being. The choir was under the patronage of the Ev. Landskerk Lippe since 1951 and predominantly performed church concerts. The in 1966 disbanded choir was resurrected in the early nineties.
